Direct Access of Physical Therapy for 30 Days
The physical therapists have asked for 30 days of direct access to a patient without an appropriate referral through HB 29 by Rep. Ina Minjarez (D-San Antonio) and SB 732 by Sen. Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola).

Thanks for Your Work on the Opioid Issues
Thanks to all of the orthopaedic surgeons who engaged their lawmakers on the bills related to opioids. The sponsor of HB 2174 indicated that he will work with orthopaedic surgeons to examine the seven-day limit in relation to serious musculoskeletal surgeries and injuries that may benefit from more than seven days.
