The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is reviewing a three-year extension of the Comprehensive Center for Joint Replacement (CJR) model.
CJR, which focuses on hip and knee replacement bundles, debuted in 2016. It is scheduled to end in 2020.
Sixty-seven geographic areas, including five Texas regions, were included in the initial mandate. HHS decreased the mandatory to 34. However, the Texas regions remained in the new mandate.
