Resident Events

The Texas Orthopaedic Association’s 2017 Annual Conference will be held Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 at the Joule Hotel in Dallas, Texas. As always, we have several events planned for the residents.

Numerous residents participated in TOA’s conferences over the past few years and found them to be extremely helpful for networking and educational purposes.

TOA will provide a free hotel night to all participating residents. Please ask them to contact TOA (Bobby@toa.org) with their interest in a hotel room by April 1, 2017. Due to the popularity of the resort and limited number of rooms, we are encouraging residents to contact TOA soon.

Resident Paper Presentations. Residents have the opportunity to present papers and win awards. We are asking submissions to be made on our Web site by January 15, 2017.

Abstract Submissions for 2017:  CLOSED!

Abstract Submissions for 2018: OPEN!  The TOA Program Committee invites you to submit an abstract (see above) if you would like to participate in the scientific session. Resident Awards for best papers range from $500 to $1500 and are awarded at the TOA Annual Business Luncheon.

You are sure to enjoy the scientific programming, hands-on workshops, and social functions at which you can mingle with orthopaedic surgeons from across the state of Texas.

Click here to submit your abstract NOW for the 2018 TOA/TOF Annual Meeting! Deadline is January 15, 2018!

Resident Quiz Bowl. This annual event is a popular competition between the orthopaedic residency programs. We are asking each residency program to send two residents to participate on the afternoon of Friday, May 5 from 5pm to 6pm.
