Meetings
TOA Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting takes place during the spring, where approximately 250
orthopaedic surgeons convene for two days of scientific symposia for CME
credit. This is the perfect opportunity to meet with leading orthopaedists
from across the state. Meeting supporters receive the following helpful
tools in exchange for their sponsorship: an exhibit booth, membership and
registration lists (in MS Excel format), and signage in exhibit hall and at
the event, recognition in our official program and acknowledgment in the TOA
newsletter.
Socioeconomic Summit and Resident Training Course
This interim meeting, the second-largest meeting of the year, and The
Resident Training Course (for 4th & 5th year Orthopaedic Residents) are held
in late summer (usually August or September). The most active and
influential of our membership meet for a day of socioeconomic programming.
Both meetings offer an outstanding means of gaining exposure to an audience
of Texas orthopaedists. Meeting supporters receive the following helpful
tools in exchange for their sponsorship: an exhibit booth, membership and
registration lists (in MS Excel format), and signage in exhibit hall and at
the event, recognition in our official program and acknowledgment in the TOA
newsletter.
TOA Scientific Tours (TOASTs)
TOASTs are roving educational programs offered by the Texas Orthopaedic
Association to provide CME in major Texas cities. Not only do TOASTs
offer quality CME, they are also free of charge to attendees. TOA is
accredited by the Texas Medical Association, so each course has been
approved for AMA Category 1 Credit. TOASTs are usually evening programs held
at restaurants with private dining facilities.
If you are interested in becoming a TOAST partner, please call the TOA
office at 800-370-1505 for more information.
